Hong Kong, China
Transporting guests from central Hong Kong to a Polynesian beach bar, this tiki joint boasts all the trappings of a South Seas holiday on its semi-alfresco patio, with bamboo fencing, wooden lawn furniture and, even, a built-in shower hose to cool everyone down on a hot summer’s day. Inside, lightbulbs swing above the bar in twine and groups gather around thematic communal punches as mixologist and lounge partner Max Traverse shakes up tiki classics and house originals. Plenty of fresh fruit and various rums dominate the menu but there’s a few options for guests seeking a slower start to the evening. The laid-back environment is the finishing touch for this fun destination, which is named after a Polynesian greeting meaning ‘kiss kiss’.
