Haute cuisine doesn't get much hotter than at Noel. Set on a quiet Zagreb back street, local incredients are combined and elevated using French techniques, expertly executed by head chef and co-owner Mario Mandarić. The warm and inviting ambiance is down to interior designer Robert Bajs and studio IO Dekor, with spaces filled with pendant lighting, heavy curtains and cosy, upholstered chairs. As for the menu, Mandarić's seasonally changing menu brings out the best of mushrooms, truffles and game in the winter, and fresh vegetables in spring. A bakery next door ensures bread is always fresh, while the wine cellar doubles as a private dining room for wine pairings.
