Bulgari Hôtel Paris

Paris, France

Within striking distance of the Champs-Élysées, Paris's Bulgari Hôtel may have only been open since 2021, but it feels like part of the fabric of the city. Call it a ‘neo grand dame’, if you will. Poised in an old post office building, the modern-minimal frontage belies what lies within. Instead of the highfalutin grandeur you might expect of a Right Bank address, interiors hone in on rich-yet-restrained Italian styling with a subtle doffing of the cap to the renaissance by way of marble (bathrooms are a veritable ode to Carrara), silk tapestries, Murano glass, lacquered eucalyptus wood and granite. Punctuating the space are Seventies-leaning inflections that bring a sense of warmth – plush, low-slung angular sofas, leather bedheads, a palette of browns and neutrals. Cashmere blankets are a not-unnoticed touch. It all chimes with its surrounds – make no mistake, these decadent digs are made for the fashion jet-set. Downstairs, a Roman bath of a pool and superlative spa are a real calling card. Beyond, an uber-slick bar and refined Italian restaurant complete the picture.
