La Poule au Pot
The Hen in the Pot is renowned for its reasonably priced, unpretentious, yet gastronomically accomplished, cuisine. Chef Jean-François Piège is the third owner of this Parisian institution, which has been serving up classic French comfort food for almost a century. The frogs’ legs in parsley, old-fashioned veal blanquette and minced beef cheek come hotly recommended, while some tip the escargot as among the best to be had anywhere in Paris.
