Costes Restaurant

Budapest, Hungary

Behind a discreet facade in Budapest’s trendy Palace District lies the Hungary’s first Michelin-star restaurant. Head chef Miguel Rocha Vieira learnt the ropes at the apron strings of Ferran Adria and Anne-Sophie Pic and his stylised plates show their delicate touch. Here, his deft menu takes its cue from traditional Hungarian dishes and upcycled family recipes – think fisherman's soup with cabbage and mustard, or a decadent pike-perch with truffle, cauliflower and almonds. Expect slick service, a strikingly modern dining room and an interesting wine list with a seriously delicious non-alcoholic cocktail pairing option.
