As the name suggests, Locavore is all about hyper-local produce, with everything from the ingredients to the furniture and glassware coming from Indonesia. Chefs Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah have two menus, the ‘Locavore’ and the ‘Herbivore’, the former with dishes such as mud crab and bonito garum emulsion, and cabbage roasted in bacon fat, and the latter a vegetarian treatment featuring banana blossom in white curry. A regular on Asia’s 50 Best list and winner of the Sustainable Restaurant Award in 2019, Locavore has become an increasingly hot dining destination since its opening in 2013.
