Venissa sits perched on one of the islands within the Venetian Lagoon, making it quite one of the most romantic spots you could imagine. The restaurant is minimal and modern without feeling austere, as a result of its panoramic views across the lush greenery of the surrounding vineyard. Seven and nine-course tasting menus are curated by chefs Chiara Pavan and Francesco Brutto, making the most of produce grown in the grounds as well as fish and seafood from the surrounding lagoon and nearby Adriatic sea, earning Venissa both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star for sustainability. Dishes are innovative and enticing, including gnocchi with fig leaf, unripened figs and tarragon oil plus Castraure artichoke risotto with marinated egg yolk, artichoke coffee and black garlic. The restaurant also has several rooms available for those who would like to linger a little longer.
