Beihouse

Beirut, Lebanon

50Best Accolades
  • No.5 MENA's 50 Best Restaurants 2026
  • Highest New Entry Award 2026

Set in the historic Gemmayzeh neighbourhood, Beihouse is born from the refurbishment of three 19th‑century Lebanese homes. Blending gothic architecture with modern glasswork, the dining spaces – spanning a cocktail bar, restaurant, lounge and courtyard – are anchored by a centuries‑old olive tree. Lovers of olives and all things Levantine, rejoice. The extensive a la carte menu offers no shortage of larder classics with playful fusion touches, from warm lentils stewed in brown butter to chouquettes seasoned with za'atar. For a main, the signature flaky steak is a riff on shawarma: beef seared to medium rare, finished with a dusting of dehydrated onion and parsley and paired with pomegranate molasses gel and caramelised tahini. A low and no alcohol list features herb‑forward cocktails such as the Green Spritz made with prosecco, basil and thyme as well as the Saketini blending shiso leaf syrup with sake and vodka.
