Liza Beirut

Beirut, Lebanon

Occupying the second floor of a 19th-century former palace, Liza regularly graces lists of the world’s most beautiful restaurants. Having originally found favour in Paris, Liza and Ziad Asseily’s first outpost in their native Lebanon consists of a series of four light-flooded rooms (Main room, Banana room, Money room, Building room) lavishly decorated in Idarica Gazzoni-designed wallpapers, Levantine tiles and golden lanterns. The food is as Instagramable as the decor: refined meze dishes and seasonal specials are light and fresh, with subtle enhancements made to traditional recipes.
