At Manzanilla, chefs and co-owners Benito Molina and Solange Muris have always only used ingredients sourced from their home state of Baja California. More than a quarter of a century on and this fine-dining pioneer continues to draw locals and visitors alike. Sustainably sourced fish and seafood dominate the a la carte menu. Star dishes include sophisticated octopus tacos; oysters flame-grilled with butter; local abalone tostadas; and tiradito, raw fish served in citrus and chili sauces. The rib-eye is also highly applauded, as is the risotto. The wine list features many vintages from nearby Guadalupe Valley. Sit outside, beneath the flower-decked pergola, and let the mezcal margaritas flow.
