Chefs Warehouse was established in 2010 by Irish-born Liam Tomlin, with ‘Canteen’ being added to the name after a 2014 move to Bree Street. It’s a colourful space, combining a deli and kitchen store with a joyful, tapas-style restaurant. Superb Asian and Mediterranean-leaning sharing plates are served at communal tables. Providing some consolation for the no-bookings policy, guests may wait at the in-house No Reservations bar, enjoying a cold drink and nibbling on olives. A second branch can be found on the Beau Constantia wine estate.
