Cobbler

Seoul, South Korea

Owned by Robin Yoo, a pioneer in Seoul's cocktail scene, Cobbler is found in a traditional Korean house (or hanok), which Yoo renovated himself. Now a renowned bar, the space is refined and elegant while staying firmly away from intimidating. Like most of the city’s more traditional venues, there’s no menu, instead the bartenders chat away with guests to identify what cocktail and experience they’re looking for. As such, the wooden bar counter has become the most sought-out spot for solo drinkers and couples, while the conversation-inviting tables often have small groups huddled around. It gets its name from the piece of cobbler pie doled out to guests upon entrance.
