El Poblet

Valencia, Spain

One of the many jewels Quique Dacosta’s crown, El Poblet siphons the Spanish chef’s legendary creativity and refined touch in combination with chef Luís Valls Rozalén’s stalwart leadership to create of one Valencia’s prime dining destinations. Opened in 2012 – and with its name derived from Dacosta’s eponymous flagship restaurant in Denia – Poblet follows the chef’s philosophy of championing high-quality produce in stimulating dishes executed with creative flair. In contrast to its relaxed and minimalist décor, plates across its tasting menu play zealously with colour and presentation, often paying homage to the culinary mainstays of the region, such as its bomba rice with Valencian ewes and olive, or its financier and macaron presented on the extended palm of an elegantly cast hand.
