Tucked inside the super-luxe Rosewood Hotel and named after the legendary British artist and caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, this is a perfect mix of a classic lounge bar and eccentric drinking den. Scarfe’s own collection of surreal paintings decorates the marble walls, transforming the bar into an art gallery. The current menu is based on "the different facets of Scarfe's subconscious", blending elements of all of his work – from caricatures to cultural icons, and political satire – and is split into four chapters: Fears, Desires, Revelations and Transformations. Try the Toothless Grin, inspired by the fear of one's teeth falling out, which offers a twist on a Sazerac and uses cognac, medjool dates, evaporated beetroot, and citra hops, served with spoonful of goat’s cheese, lemon curd, and absinthe. It all goes terribly well with the daily live jazz sessions.
