There's been a bar on this site since 1934 and the current owners (Travis Tober and Brandon Hunt) have a respect for that legacy by keeping an inclusive neighbourhood atmosphere. Nickel City is a place where you can easily lose a whole day and night. Forget coming here for a gimmicky cocktail, the bar all about serving cold beer, boilermakers, draft Pimm's and Aperol Spritz and long drinks. An attached food truck serves up authentic Detroit-style Coney dogs, chicken wings and other comfort food. They've won just about every award going and for good reason.
