Café La Trova is a joint with some serious pedigree. The operation is headed up by the legend that is Julio Cabrera, also known as the godfather of modern Cuban Cantinero-style bartending, and the kitchen by James Beard-winning chef Michelle Bernstein. There's live music seven nights a week, plus a daily happy hour, with a choice of cocktails matched with some keenly-priced bar snacks. The main cocktail menu is a mix of Cuban classics like daiquiris (classic and frozen) alongside some original drinks, like the El Guayabero, which blends reposado tequila, guava marmalade, cayenne-agave syrup and lime.
