There was once a bar of the same name in New Orleans that played a major part in the history of the city’s drinking scene. Today, head bartender Chris Hannah pays tribute to that historic venue with this modernised tavern, set in a 19th-century Creole cottage over two floors. Choose one of the team’s latest bespoke cocktail creations or sip your way through history with Hannah’s take on a French 75 or Brandy Crusta – made with brandy, curaçao, fresh lemon juice and bitters. The food programme perfectly complements the drink offerings, plus there's a Wednesday night ‘Casual Caviar’ happy hour and crawfish raviolo that you won't want to miss . Even with the secret garden courtyard, the bar is often busy and reservations are recommended.
