Peychaud's

New Orleans, US

From the team that kickstarted the cocktail renaissance in New Orleans back when they first opened Cure in 2009, Peychaud's is a new stately drinks haven that offers a respite from the chaos of the historic French Quarter. Located adjacent to the courtyard of the Hotel Maison De Ville, the bar is named after Antoine Amédée Peychaud, the apothecary who created Peychaud's bitters (and who once called the building home). In homage to Peychaud's legacy, head bartender Nicholas Jarrett has devised a cocktail list centered on elevated versions of storied New Orleans classics - some quite famous, like the Sazerac and Vieux Carré, mixed with other lesser-known treasures, like the Roffignac and A La Louisiane. With an understated grace and timeless Southern splendour, the bar is a must-visit for history buffs and casual tourists alike.
