Temple Bar

New York, US

The original iteration of Temple Bar closed in 2017 after 28 years of serving glitzy martinis and free popcorn to the NoHo neighborhood of New York City. The loss was mourned by the community until an intrepid group of partners (including Michael McIlroy and Sam Ross of Attaboy) decided to revamp and reopen the glamorous cocktail joint in its full original glory in late 2021. Finely polished and restored in full, the gorgeous vintage bar still offers an extensive list of martinis as homage to its roots, now featured alongside a list of drinks that speak more to the current cocktail zeitgeist, with contemporary champagne cocktails, minis and non-alcoholic options included alongside modern classics like Ross' own Penicillin. If you’re feeling fancy, you can add a caviar bump to any martini, or a dose of bubbles to any of the stirred drinks for a surcharge.
