Burgers, redefined: Buco's brilliance lies in its simplicity: a portmanteau of 'burgers' and 'cocktails', its ethos is comfort food, done right. A modern gastro bar designed to elevate the humble burger with premium ingredients and creative toppings, it was launched in December 2023 by Noma alumnus Tarek Alameddine (who also leads the culinary team at Beihouse), in partnership with his sisters Sami Khoueiry and Azzat Traboulsi.

Relaxed menu, relaxed atmosphere: Chic, warm and thoughtfully furnished, Buco's interior decor has the style to match its effortlessly cool menu. The bar, dining area, terrace and open kitchen are connected by a colour palette of tasteful terracotta hues, making the space feel sociable and cohesive – the perfect environment for a date night or gathering of friends.

What's on the menu? Appetisers include mini lobster rolls, chicken tenders and corn with chilli butter – but of course, the burgers are Buco's main draw. For those who favour a 'less is more' approach, there's a classic cheeseburger topped with Cheddar, ketchup, mustard and onions. Meanwhile, those who crave big, bold flavours will love the wagyu burger, a 120g provolone-topped patty slotted inside a Japanese milk bun with caramelised onions, lettuce and house dressing. In a cute touch, fries are served in martini glasses.

And the cocktails? Expect a curated menu of pre-dinner aperitifs (mini martini, negroni, dry daiquiri), shorts and sours (guava margarita, whisky sour, thyme gimlet), 'strong finishes' (Oaxaca, classic old fashioned) and sweet treats (sgroppino, mezcal espresso martini). There's a selection of low and no-alcohol concoctions to choose from, too.
