Now in its third edition, North America’s 50 Best Bars, sponsored by Perrier, is heading back to San Miguel de Allende for its annual celebration of the continent’s finest drinking establishments. This year’s programme of events will take place over three days at some of the UNESCO World Heritage City’s most picturesque locations, culminating in the awards ceremony at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende on 23rd April, where a brand new list of North America’s 50 Best Bars will be revealed.

LIVESTREAM: North America’s 50 Best Bars 2024 Awards Ceremony

All eyes will be on the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende as the leading lights of North American hospitality make their way to the luxurious hotel ahead of the highly anticipated reveal.
After arriving on the red carpet and receiving their signature red scarves and shakers, at 20:25, the show will begin. Starting from the venue ranked No.50, the awards will descend through the list of leading cocktail establishments, concluding with the No.1 spot, named The Best Bar in North America 2024, sponsored by Perrier.

Alongside the main ranking reveal, the evening will also see a host of special awards bestowed to bars and individuals, including the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award, Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award, Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award, Roku Industry Icon Award, Campari One To Watch Award, Nikka Highest Climber Award and London Essence Best New Opening Award.
This year will also see the introduction of a brand new accolade to North America’s 50 Best Bars: the Bareksten Best Bar Design Award. Having made its global debut within The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 awards programme, this year the title has been extended to spotlight North American venues with exemplary bar design.

At the conclusion of the awards ceremony, the team behind the newly crowned Best Bar in North America will take part in an exclusive live interview, hosted on the 50 Best Bars Instagram account.

The first event of the three-day programme will be the assembly of the teams behind the soon-to-be-listed bars at the Bartenders’ Feast, held once again at Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende. This year will see a host of new guest bartenders shaking up cocktails for the lucky attendees, including Ewan Bennie from Youngblood, San Diego, Márcio Silva from Exímia, São Paulo and renowned mixologist Kate Gerwin from Albuquerque. LIVE HIGHLIGHTS: 50 Best Closing Party

After the night of celebrations at the awards ceremony, 50 Best will host all the newly crowned bartenders for a feast held on the rooftop of Hotel Amatte the following day. Food and drink will be aplenty, with cocktails coming courtesy of Marc Álvarez from The World’s Best Bar 2023, Sips. He will be joined by Exímia and Youngblood with a whole new menu to bring this year’s events to a close.
