La Uat

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The energy is nothing short of electric at La Uat, the neon-fueled, 80’s-inspired party bar tucked behind Cacho Rotisería in the Palermo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. The look and feel of the place, founded by Sebastián Atienza of Tres Monos fame, was inspired by boîte, the French term for small nightclub. DJ sets and karaoke nights keep the mood upbeat and the industrial chic terrace bar (complete with a sparkling disco ball) comes alive with young artists, musicians and other creative types. Vermouth is the most popular house call, but a well-rounded list of gin tonics, ciders, beers and playful cocktails – often featuring South American staples such as pisco, fernet branca and maracuya – ensures something for everyone on the eclectic menu. Plus, nothing hits the spot after a long night of dancing better than hot, traditional Argentinian food – the rotisserie storefront offers beloved favorites like tortilla and Milanese.
