Comme Chez Soi

Brussels, Belgium

Georges Cuvelier escaped a life in the coal mines to pursue his passion for cooking, establishing Comme Chez Soi in 1926. It has since become a Brussels institution. Current head chef Lionel Rigolet, whose father-in-law was at the helm for several decades until handing the baton over in 2006, maintains a tradition of expertly prepared ‘home-style’ cuisine made with premium-quality European ingredients, including North Sea lobster, Italian black truffles and local pigeon. Set in an elegant townhouse, art nouveau interiors are Horta-inspired while a window offers diners a view into the kitchen.
