A collaboration between two Rio natives – chefs Pep Figueiredo and Newton Rique – the slickly presented dining space in Rio's trendy beachside neighbourhood of Leblon is a flavourful ode to Figueiredo's late father's love of barbecue. Dishes – from vegetables and fish to meat – are charred and grilled to add smoky intensity. Signature plates include a brioche burger with English cheddar and marbled Denver steak. Don't miss the vegetable dishes: smoky aubergine doused in a sweet-and-sour miso glaze and slow-cooked cauliflower with goat's cheese fonduta are well worth trying.
