Roganic
Hong Kong, China
Simon Rogan’s seasonal farm-to-table, local-first approach to the culinary arts is known the world over, born out of his flagship L’Enclume in England’s bucolic Lake District. When Rogan announced the opening of a restaurant in the cityscape of Hong Kong in 2019, it caught the attention of local gourmets – how would his philosophy translate to a destination primarily known for its urban sprawl? The answer: very successfully. Roganic adapted the chef's signature style of modern British dishes, but created them using the freshest of ingredients sourced from Hong Kong’s outer territories, earning itself a Green Michelin Star in the process.
In February 2025, Roganic moved to its new, airy premises at Lee Garden One. Inside, its previously compact interior has made way for a vast, light-filled, open-plan space, marked by unique sculpturing and upcycled wood felled from Hong Kong's typhoons that feels in-line with its culinary offering. Its tasting menu, delivered by executive chef Oli Marlow and head chef Adam Catterall, has equally jumped up a notch: think cured mackerel from Hainan with beetroot, hawthorn and dill, or Nantau tomatoes in Perilla and coal oil. There’s now also the option to choose the sharing main course of the menu.
