Since it opened in 2011, Yardbird has become one of the most popular dining spots for hip, creative Hong Kong. Chef and co-owner Matt Abergel (who also owns Japanese izakaya-style dining bar Ronin in the city) serves beak-to-tail yakitori, where different parts of the chicken are skewered and prepared in 22 different ways – from chicken oyster with sea salt and lemon to meatball with tare dipping sauce. In late 2017, it moved to a bigger space, but you should still expect to wait at the popular no-reservations venue. Get there early – or late.
