Whisper Sister is named after the ladies who ran Prohibition-era speakeasies, and this basement bar has more than a hint of the clandestine about it. Basically this is the perfect date bar, all dimly-lit corners (handy if things are going well) and interesting drinks, that can provide more than enough talking points should the conversation dry up. The drinks themselves are a diverse brunch, offering takes on tiki like the crowd-pleasing Hula Lula, which blends mezcal, rye whiskey, amaro, falernum, dry curaçao, pimento dram, passionfruit-turmeric cordial, coconut cream and lime, or the pleasingly complex Chewy Gooey, which mixes aquavit, pumpkin, dulce de leche, lemon and bitters.
