Legends abound at Château Beychevelle. Once owned by a great admiral, ships passing on the river were said to have lowered their sails in salute. The order in the local Gascon dialect, 'bêcha vêla', became the estate's name. A visit to Château Beychevelle is to experience three centuries of history.
