Ducasse Sur Seine
Launched just months after Alain Ducasse lost a controversial court case over the management of the Eiffel Tower restaurant Le Jules Verne, Ducasse sur Seine allows diners to glide past Paris’s iconic sights on a sumptuously appointed, state-of-the-art electric boat. Head chef Francis Fauvel and his 36-strong brigade send out three to five-course menus rich in prime French produce and technique. When the boat is docked at Port Debilly, guests may board from 4pm for a glass of champagne with four sweet or savoury morsels for a ship-shape $40 a head.
