Bartenders… in their pants – or should we say without them. But not to worry, there is nothing seedy about Calbar, a former wine bar that, in a welcome break for Paris, doesn’t take itself too seriously. The staff wear shirts and bow ties, but tend to forgo trousers, settling for just boxer shorts. However, don't be fooled, the drinks are all business. Try a ‘Le Pause Kawa’, which is a blend of C. Ferrand Plantation St Lucia Old Reserve Rum, Plantation Original Dark, bitter chocolate plus coffee, cardamom and rose syrup.
