Les Ambassadeurs

Paris, France

Set in Hôtel de Crillon, one of Paris’s marquis grand palace hotels, Les Ambassadeurs is undoubtedly one of the stateliest settings in the canon of hotels bars. While the room’s key focal point is the stunning 18th-century original frescos, a recent facelift by designer Chahan Minassian brought ivory and taupe hues to accentuate the drama above. The bar programme is more modern than the setting implies. Sure, classic serves are on hand – the Martini is proffered with a selection of regional French gins – but the cocktail menu is served with a dice where patrons are encouraged to roll and be guided to their serve. This may reveal an excellent take on a Margarita, made with mezcal, or a mushroom-infused Old Fashioned with Michter’s Rye Whiskey. A sumptuous bar oozing class with myriad modern touches set in classical surrounds, Les Ambassadeurs is the ideal space to impress, be scene and as a jumping off point to the countless Parisian national treasures that abound its Place de la Concorde location.
