This Mitte maestro comes in three parts. Enter through the wine shop and navigate the wine bar before climbing the glowing marble stairway to get your fine-dining thrills. Here, ambitious chef Marco Müller excels in recreating European and German dishes with a current edge. Profound flavour flows through his Inspirations 13-course tasting menu (there's a vegetarian option, too) where nature and aroma are the cornerstones. Dishes tend to lean into two flavours, seemingly created from just a pair of ingredients, though the simplicity is in fact layered with complexity. Regional produce provides the foundation in dishes such as perch with peas; grilled pigeon with redcurrant; lamb with wild garlic; and rabbit with nasturtium. Desserts sound like fairytale pairings, the likes of sandalwood and wild rose or strawberry and lemon balm. A modern, copper-clad dining room with a relaxed vibe provides the setting.
