Enrico Bartolini's eponymous restaurant sits on the third floor of Milan's modernist landmark, the MUDEC Museum of Cultures, but this isn't a temple to the avant-garde, his ethos is all about the contemporary classic. It's served him well as the restaurant now holds three Michelin Stars, plus there's a more informal Bistro, should you not have time for a three-hour lunch. If it's a tasting menu you're after though, there are two to choose from: the Best Of and the Mudec Experience, both coming in at a substantial nine courses. Dishes include Piedmontese veal sweetbreads, Chioggia turnips glazed with truffles, curry and tarragon plus a dessert of zabaione, pistachio ice cream from Bronte and orange, and as you may well expect there's an exceptional wine list to choose from.
