Verbena resists labels. Kind of a restaurant, kind of a listening bar. Kind of Peruvian, kind of international. Kind of cool and relaxed, kind of fine-dining. Chef Ricardo Goachet has created his own personal interpretation of the perfect restaurant, treating produce, atmosphere and design in his 18-seater space as tools to orchestrate a singular dining experience. Menus are skewed towards sharing and socialising over, so come with friends to pick through the selection of seasonal tapas. Think octopus takoyaki croquettes or artichoke stew empanadillas with roasted red pepper honey. Alternatively you can all partake in a set sharing selection of Verbena’s greatest hits, ranking your favourites across the tiradito, dim sum-studded ramen or negroni flan. You’ll have plenty to talk about, which we suspect is exactly the way Goachet likes it.
