St Regis Doha-based Indian fine-diner Riyasat was rebrandedand now goes by Rivaaj, a restaurant that has been transporting guests back to the majestic Indian estates of the 19th century since 2020. Designed by international architect firm FDP, interiors feature tactile, patterned fabrics in a fiery palette of reds and golds, while a terrace allows for poolside dining. Ranging from Goan street-food classics to the truly refined, standouts include tandoor oven-cooked kebabs, braised lamb shoulder marinated in cloves, green cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon, and Indian Ocean lobster. Desserts will delight: opt for the velvety handmade kulfi to finish.
