This cosy spot is aligned with Seoul's detail-oriented bar vibe. It was inspired by the drinking culture of the 1920s and combines elements from both Eastern and Western society. The team of bartenders, all immaculately dressed and often found shaking in harmonious choreography, are led by bartender-owner Son Soko. The dry martini and Mr. Peanut, a mix of amaro cordial, whisky and peanut, come highly recommended.
The venue’s décor is notable for its wooden furnishings and carvings, with a long backlit bar that occupies one entire wall of the space. As a temple to cocktail craft, hospitality, style and simplicity, Soko has become one of the Korean capital’s premier drinking spots, frequented by a fashionable crowd.
