Lauded chef Martín Berasategui describes Lasarte as a spiritual project fusing the flavours and aromas of his home Basque region. His contemporary and sophisticated cooking has diners flocking to the modern, sleek dining room in the renovated Monument hotel – and saw the restaurant boast of becoming the first to be awarded three Michelin stars in Barcelona back in 2017. Think wagyu ravioli and glazed eel with iodized cream, horseradish and caviar, and grilled venison with black truffle cream, orange sauce and spiced jus. A chef's table sits up to eight guests in a loft, with a glass wall giving diners a bird’s-eye view into the kitchen.
