From the team behind popular Indian fine-dining restaurants Gymkhana and Trishna, Hoppers is a tiny but perennially packed casual restaurant serving a selection of Sri Lankan classics. The speciality hoppers (a bowl-shaped, fermented rice pancakes) come with or without egg and are served with chutneys and kari (curry), whether that be aubergine or goat. ‘A Taste of Hoppers’ set menu serves the best of the restaurant’s bone marrow roti, mutton rolls and hoppers or dosa, and there’s a vegetarian version, too. Hoppers now has a second branch in Marylebone.
