A laidback, light-filled neighbourhood restaurant in North London, Perilla focuses on high-quality humble ingredients and modern European flavours. A set menu showcases padrón peppers, bread soaked in moules mariniére, whiting fried in beef fat and sea spaghetti alla puttanesca, most of which are also available à la carte. There’s an excellent seasonal wine list and the restaurant also infuses its own gins and vodkas on site. Perilla comes from chef Ben Marks, formerly of The Square, and Matt Emmerson, who ran the dining room at Polpo.
