David Chang’s Momofuku group is a giant of New York’s contemporary culinary scene and its East Village iteration, a shadowy study in slate and wood, is as fast-paced and funky as the rest. Chef Max Ng draws on his Singaporean heritage to create highly original small plates that are unfussy but big on flavour.
