  • One to Watch Award for The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2023

The brainchild of high-profile chef Kwame Onwuachi aims to revive some of the energy and community of the past through its bold, diverse menu, modern urban décor and hip-hop playlist. It's a tribute to the chef's childhood and the overlooked Black community that played an important role in shaping the San Juan Hill are of Manhattan, now redeveloped around the Lincoln Center.

As one of the hottest spots in NYC, Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi bagged the One To Watch Award as part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023. The eatery takes its name from Onwuachi's older sister, who helped raise him while their mother worked as a chef.

Tatiana's cuisine is inspired by Onwuachi’s upbringing in the Bronx, his Nigerian heritage, his mother’s Southern-focused cooking and other global Afro-Caribbean flavours. The menu is divided into small sharing plates such as crispy okra with honey and mustard or Nigerian-influenced egusi dumplings, as well as larger sharing plates like shawarma-roasted chicken with turmeric lamb rice and head-on shrimp with creole butter and brioche.
