A wood-fired brick oven is at the heart of Tartine Manufactory, where co-owners Chad Robertson crafts beautiful loaves and Elisabeth Prueitt creates traditional pastries with a contemporary edge. At this inviting bakery and cafe, that also houses an ice-cream parlour, order a sprouted rye with seeds loaf to go or enjoy the airy Scandinavian-style dining room accompanied by a salted buckwheat cookie or seasonal fruit muffin with a flat white. Coffee beans are roasted in house. The seasonal brunch menu is popular: try the eggplant flatbread sandwich.
