Overlooking Hanoi's Old Quarter and Hoàn Kiếm Lake, this rooftop oyster and cocktail bar is surprisingly built to transport guests back to 1920s New York. Wood-clad Art Deco interiors, vaulted ceilings and live jazz inspire the grandeur of Grand Central Station, while the US train-themed cocktail menu drives the message home. With sections dedicated to specific rail routes, the list tells the story of US railways at first glance, but on closer inspection reveals a dedication to technique, too. Fat-washing, sous-vide infusions, spirit clarification and house-made distillates allow modern cocktails to shine: try the aromatic Park Avenue cocktail, which starts with a blend of chestnut-infused gin and white port with house-made mandarin liqueur, balanced with notes of tropical soursop, citrus and bitters.
