A legendary restaurant celebrating the culinary traditions of Northern Peru

Chief reason to visit: Fiesta brings an upscale take on ancient Moche food history and culture.

What makes it stand out: Chef Hector Solís’ passion for Northern Peruvian flavours and cooking techniques.

A brief history: Fiesta’s legacy began more than 30 years ago in Chiclayo, on the northern Peruvian coastline, where the Solís family opened the first incarnations of Fiesta. Hector Solís continued his family’s culinary birthright and opened Fiesta Lima in 1996.

Typical dishes: Chiclayo’s most famous dish, arroz con pato, or rice with duck, dates back to the years of the Moche people where roasted duck is marinated in chicha de jora and served with seasoned rice, coriander and loche pumpkin. Also try cebiche caliente – cooked over hot coals – or slow-cooked goat ribs marinated in chicha and served with loche pumpkin and vegetables.

What’s the space like? Housed in a modern Miraflores building, the dining room is bright and airy, featuring traditional Peruvian artwork, while the bar serves cracking cocktails.
