Buenos Aires, Argentina

While this Roux might not have any links to the legendary culinary dynasty, this Recoleta restaurant is still well worth a visit. It's an especially charming destination with white shuttered windows and a Paris-inspired interior lit by flickering candlelight, making this the ideal venue for a date night. Led by acclaimed chef Martín Rebaudino, the cuisine is all about seafood with the provenance of their fish and shellfish taking prominence on the menu, such as Yellowfin tuna tartare from Ecuador with paprika from Cachi, capers from “La Chacrita” and Patagonian salmon trout caviar. When it comes to meat though, there's much more to the menu than steak with dishes like crispy goat sweetbreads from Quilino with goat ricotta ravioli from Lunlunta, spinach, roasting juices and black truffle air.
