Describing itself as ‘bringing swagger back to Punjabi cuisine’, New Punjab Club celebrates the rich food heritage of the region shared by India and Pakistan with a superb meat-focused menu centred on two tandoor ovens. Chef Palash Mitra’s tandoori venison, gobhi and cobia fish are served alongside cocktails inspired by the progressive 1950s and ‘60s, such as the ‘Gentleman’s Highball’. A lavish interior inspired by the Punjab social club in Lahore is decked out with red-leather banquettes, plush tableware and thought-provoking art.
