Hong Kong, China

You need a head for heights if you are to reach Ozone, which is one of the highest rooftop bars in the world. Sat on the 118th floor of Hong Kong’s luxurious Ritz-Carlton at the dizzying altitude of 480 metres. The staggering views dominate, but the drinks programme is no slouch, with its short and punchy original cocktails. The ‘Lion Rock’ (named after a local mountain and hiking trail) is a blend of Chivas Regal, Montelobos mezcal, yellow Chartreuse, lemon, agave, thyme and orange bitters. There's a good choice of champagnes available by the glass, too, and regular DJ sets. Be warned, there's a dress code post-9pm, so get your glad rags on.
