Hidden in plain sight from the bustle of Hong Kong’s business district, you’ll find a boozy shrine to Ernest Hemingway. Like Hemingway's prose, The Old Man leans into a focus on the power of conversation. A communal T-shaped bar allows conversation with new friends to flow, alongside intimate tables flanked by coach seating to accommodate duos. Aptly titled ‘Relations’, the Hemingway-inspired drinks menu is sure to spark a conversation. The bittersweet Lost Brothers – which combines tonka bean and cardamom syrup with a barley cold brew – is drawn from the complex rivalry and camaraderie between Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Non-alcoholic versions of some cocktails are also available if you fancy the flavour without the buzz.
