Ciré
Quito, Ecuador
At Ciré, innovative technique meets traditional Ecuadorean cooking. The progressive menu takes in langoustine fideuá, crunchy suckling pig and Ecuadorean Black Angus beef with native potatoes – dishes that are as playful as the setting, a charming three-floor space dressed with chandeliers, plush chairs and colourful contemporary art. The top-floor terrace, with its panoramas over Quito and the surrounding mountains, is the spot for a cocktail. That commitment to craft extends to an in-house bakery producing a signature sourdough available to take away – and clearly has legs: since the original Cumbayá branch opened in 2013, the centrally located Ciré Capital followed in 2020.
