50Best Accolades

Located behind pizza palace Daroco Bourse, Danico is housed in the former Jean Paul Gaultier flagship store. Its barmen’s nautical striped shirts are a fitting homage to the fashion designer. Brooklyn vibes abound in the high-ceilinged space: think quirky wallpaper, velvet furnishings and a herringbone marble bar, while the soundtrack comprises upbeat ‘80s tracks. Opened by Nico de Soto (owner of New York’s influential cocktail mecca Mace), the bar's the current Xplorer menu zooms in on de Soto's globe-trotting spirit, offering five distinct menus, each diving into a different country's culinary heart and its most celebrated ingredients. Don't miss the Chicha Morada, a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn maiz morado, vodka and rectified apple juice.
